The saga of the pups 104

We braved the winter storm yesterday. The pups had a little blast walking in the snow, it was not bad in the morning. By the time I came back home in the afternoon it was way too cold to even think of going for a walk. We settled for the grass across the driveway. Mac was a little excited, but the temperature made him change his mind. This morning we went outside, and the wind was frigid, however I decided to convince Mac for a little walk on the trail. Yeah! Bad idea on this one for sure, I avoided slipping …

Live Presentation

I had a blast yesterday when I was presenting at the Chamber of Commerce a topic about marketing online. It was actually fun to do. As the meeting we had took longer than expected people did stay and listen to my presentation. Even though I had to squeeze it, I had fun at one point……. the mic stopped working. I decided to make a joke about it and apologized to the front row to raise my voice until the mic was fixed. It was great to survey the room as I was speaking and see people agreeing with the topic. …

Thankful

It is always fun when it gets closer to the holidays, I add more lights in the front yard. They are all solar lights which is nice, I love the festive month that starts with Thanksgiving. It reminds me of when I used to work in retail to see what I called the “crazies” running into the store. Already stamping on each other for one item. It was mayhem, I was horrified to see people with the worst side of them coming out. Security was always there to make sure it was not going to go out of control, but …

The saga of the pups 103

I must laugh again…. The pups are at it again! This time it was Mac, the snow has moved a long way from us. However, it is cold!  We should not complain about the snow since Buffalo NY got 6 feet of snow. So back to the pups, Mac was so excited and ready to go for a walk. It took a few minutes to put the harnesses on Mac & Dottie. They both were excited to go outside. I was also ready for a walk, but this changed very quickly. Yes, Mac just decided after he went potty to …

My inspiration

I recorded a short answer from the Wisdom app question: “Putting the effort was the only way I got to** Well, this was a great question that comes down to one thing. In order to get what we want; we must realize we have to learn to roll up our sleeves and do the work. The secret is by doing the work we are actually becoming the trailblazer. Learning to be the leader in our own life is an amazing feeling. Welcoming the changes in our life is the most challenging but also rewarding path we will ever have. Everyone …

Relaxing

I am relaxing tonight. The pups are finally sleeping until it is time to go to bed. It has been an eventful week. With some great ups and some crazy downs. I am currently watching some fun movies on Netflix…. yes, French movies. I have some great networking online that I am going to host. That is exciting. I am looking forward to expanding the group. The life of wonders is always around the corner. I am enjoying doing my exercises again. Taking the time to ground myself and finally going back to basics. It has been a wild ride …

Saga of the pups 102

As the snow is falling Loulou is getting naughtier. The boy cannot help himself but creates trouble. He had a lot of fun with the snow, running and eating the snow at the same time. I know he cannot help himself. While Mac and Dottie are facing the wind, Loulou is pushing them. I had to keep him on one side so the other two could enjoy their walk. It is fun to watch them playing but like the weather Loulou seems a little too receptive to the madness of the season. Keeping on track is challenging, from waking us …

Leadership communication

Leadership is always the most challenging part of being a leader. Yes, how do we communicate with others? Being mindful so everyone can hear the message without feeling they are being set up. However, this is something that not everyone is practicing. Learning how to communicate with people is essential. It means that not everything we would like to say to someone will be told. Yes, I know for someone that is direct like me, I have learned to bite my tongue before speaking. Also writing blogs, doing podcasts has helped me too also be mindful. Again, mindful means be …

A little dream

It has been an interesting week for the good, the bad and the ugly. Sounds like a great movie. Maybe we could set the scene in a more rural deserted area. The sun is at its peak of the day, the temps are so high we can see the heat coming from the earth. I can hear the horses a few feet away from me, we are in the 1800. Life is simple while complicated at the same time. The saloon is busy and new saddlers are coming every day, trying to find the gold they so wanted. Life has …

The saga of the pups 101

As the colder weather is upon us the pups are more inside than outside. The new playground is the house, to be more precise the bed is the hottest spot. Loulou tried to overthrow King Mac. It is funny trying to relax a little bit and having the kids playing on the bed. Those guys are ruthless and restless, they are having too much fun. We might venture for a quick walk around the block. I am now becoming just an inconvenience for the pups. They are just using me as their buffer. Mac is tired and would like to …
