Networking

We are going to have another snow storm this week. Yes, March madness…. expect the unexpected. However, we have a huge networking coming and this time I will be going. During our last snowstorm I had a networking event, however I had to be later on in the opposite side of town. I choose instead of being stuck for hours on the highway to leave earlier with the pups for our own safety. This time around I do not have to be anywhere, so I am planning on making some great connections with people I am going to meet but …

The saga of the pups 120

We had a great weekend with the pups. The lake was still covered with a good amount of snow. This meant Loulou was like a flying squirrel, gliding on the snow while Dottie was pushing herself to run faster. Since the snow was still pretty high it required her to work a little harder. Mac, to my surprise, was having a lot of fun, he even took part in the race with both of them. It was fun to see him running around. He had a lot of fun getting going and also sandwiched Loulou with Dottie. It was kind of …

Bad Telemarketing

So, let’s talk about pushy insurance companies. Yes, in today’s blog I am speaking about being bullied by insurance companies. I received a call yesterday from State Farm, the reps on the phone first butchered my last name. When I corrected her, she still butchered it again. At that point I started to be irritate, she went by my first name. Her speech was when they sent me a quote for my house and car I requested. At that point I had enough and told her I never asked them to send me or give me any quotes. I told …

A life moment

I am currently listening to one of my favorite tunes from the movie “When Harry met Sally “. Sinatra has such a beautiful voice. It reminds me of when I saw the movie in Europe decades ago. It brings peace to my heart, love for the music and his crooner voice. It has been a strange week, still wrapping my head around the loss of my friend. Having the time to see the snow falling this morning, thinking here we go again when we think we are done with it. But we are not quite done yet with the snow. …

The saga of the pups 119

Today we are back again at the field. Dottie was supposed to have her stiches removed Monday. However, she popped some a week ago and it looks like when we went to the vet on Monday the rest of the stiches fell out which was good because I was concern about her stress level. We all went, afterwards, to the field and I let them run free. She ran last weekend on the lake and in the backyard. It was fun to watch them having super fun. The poor girl was under my watch. Yes, she must have felt she …

Moving on

We are a day from DJ’s funeral in Europe. I am glad his sisters are going to be there. Caroline, the mother of his child is taking care of everything. It has been hard on her and Shayana her daughter. We have been communicating since the news of his passing. It has affected her at a very deep level, like it did with me. We have been shaken to the core. While we are leaning on each other to move forward we are sharing stories about him; he was such a great person. We could see our stories to be …

Time for me time

It has been an extremely quiet month and I can’t wait to be in March. Things are starting to move slowly but still we need to get things rolling around here.  I had a great interview from a magazine about what I am doing. It was fun to be interviewed. I am always on the other seat so this time it was my turn.  It was a 30-minute conversation, at the end Brett mentioned to me he was going to interview Angela.  Angela is my partner in crime on Alignable. She is a phenomenal networking person. I truly enjoy doing …

The saga of the pups 118

Ah the babies, they are always ready to create trouble. So, we started to be on winter advisory again. This time around I could not take Dottie for a walk. She is still healing from her wound, however, the middle stitches popped a few days ago. So, I am watching her closely so she can heal without adding more stress to all of us here. I took Mac & Loulou for a walk, it was a great idea until we started to hit patches of ice that were hidden under the fluffy fresh coat of snow. I was not planning …

Snow day

Finally, I can start to write my blog. It looks like Mircropuf has new features and they are trying to have people buy into it. So, I cannot write a document in words via my iPad today. I do not like this kind of propaganda, forcing people to purchase something we do not need. Forcing us to do a free trial would make it nearly impossible to step out of. I like to be free, not forced to do something I do not want. Micropuf should first fix the bugs in their systems instead of trying to force us into …

What is tomorrow

So, looking at what tomorrow will bring us, I just recorded three new podcasts. This week was a quiet week. I did not record anything for this week. So, silence in the air is what I am doing for now. Next week will be back to normal. I wasn’t planning on taking a break but needed some well-deserved inspiration. I got some in the form of a text from my dear friend Jenner. Reminding me how much he loved me. We had the most amazing conversation afterward. Yes, he did called me which was the most beautiful and inspiring conversation. …
