Taking the time to breathe

Taking the time to be in the present moment, feeling the love and joy that surrounds us. We need to be mindful of our surroundings. Not only our mate or children but also animals and mother nature. Spending our time running makes us pass by beautiful moments.

For myself, from a walk with the pups in cold weather I can appreciate how well they’re behaving. Focusing on them while enjoying our walk and at the end giving them some treats because neither one of them decided to bolt.

It is wonderful to spend time outside while doing an activity where we are not focusing on anything else. Instead we are become one with our surroundings.

It is relaxing but also invigorating, filling our lungs with fresh air. This is what grounds us the most. When we are finally back home, we are relaxed and open to connect with the universe.

It is calming to feel whole and complete. Having a wonderful time while doing what we like the most. We are living in a state of peace when we are able to unwind after a long day.

Keeping up with everything in our lives doesn’t mean we always have to be running. Instead we have to learn to slow down.

It is always a great time to reflect on our actions. We might have lost our temper with our mate, feeling frustrated because things are not going the way we feel they should be going.   But when you are in a state of peace you can revisit those actions and make amends.

Being frustrated or angry is not where we need to stay. It is challenging to stay in a state of peace. We have to remind ourselves we are student of life. Being challenged by our outer condition to stay calm and grounded helps us to mature and grow.
