Taking care of ourselves

With the life we are living, we should be healing our bodies on a daily basis. Not only with meditation but also recover time. We are spending so much time running around, being exposed to toxic situations, environmental as well as people. We are forgetting to take care of our own self.

When life is taking a toll on us, we are going through the motions to get to the next day. Hoping the roller-coaster we are riding on will stop. But when we are in the middle of the changes, we need to shift the direction of our journey.

We need to listen to our body. We cannot push ourselves beyond the point of no return. Damaging our outer shell over and over. We need to become kind to our own self.

But how do we do that? By taking some time off.  If you cannot afford to go away for a while just take an hour a day to be somewhere in nature or a place that calms, you down. Somewhere it is positive and helps you to bring things into perspective.

We need our sleep to restore our body, without it we would not be able to function properly. Keeping ourselves grounded. Stopping ourselves from always rushing here and there; but instead, learning to slow down.

The world is turning faster than us so it is OK, we do not need to feel we have to catch up with it. Neither are we going to miss something. Often, we are believing we need to be everywhere and know everything that is happening around us. Giving us a certain sense of over controlling, but at the end of the day when you finally realized you are wasting your time, because the only thing you can control is your actions.

You have won the battle, the only thing you need to focus on is your well-being. We are spending way too much time in other people’s businesses; we are forgetting the basics.
