Life has its challenges

Surfing the wave that is our life can be challenging when the waters are not calm. We can lose control by being influenced by our outer conditions. We need to learn to stay focused.

Being whole requires us to learn to unwind at night. Learning to leave the stress of our jobs at work and not to bring that home with us. Too often people are using their own mates or children to release their anger or frustrations.

This is not the way we should live. Instead, we should learn to take breaks for ourselves to center ourselves. When you are having a stressful day at work, it might be hard to unplug. But if we learn to do that before we go home, we are changing the dynamics with our family.

We do not have to go to a yoga class to unwind. Spending 15 minutes sitting outside or a walk will do the trick. Often, we are busy running from one place to another forgetting to use our mind to slow down time.

When you are telling yourself, there is a lack of time to do what you believe are necessary chores, you are creating that illusion. That illusion will trigger some stress for you. Instead you should take a few breaths and infuse a new mantra like you have all the time in the world to accomplish what you need done. See yourself on time this is how you start to slow down time.

I have applied this trick often when I was late to catch a plane or going to a meeting when traffic was at a standstill. You can do that when you are working on projects or trying to get the kids from one activity to another.

We do not need to listen to our ego, instead we should lean on our spirit and listen to the soft whisper that will always guide us along our journey.
