My “me” time

lifeLearning to stay peaceful can be a challenge when we are feeling stressed because we are always on the run. We need to learn to take some breaks during the day. Having a daily “me” moment will help us to stay grounded. We can easily dismiss taking a few moments for ourselves because we feel we do not have the time for it.

But when we are taking 30 minutes to an hour for us, we can ground ourselves and be more focused, more energized. We are spending so much time giving our energy to everyone else, from our mate, children and co-workers, that at the end of the day we are depleted.

We are losing focus and are not fully present in our life. Why not start today by maybe taking a walk or going to a fitness class? There are so many options we can do for ourselves, we can schedule our own appointment for our “me” time on our calendar.

It doesn’t take long to do something, it will help us to stay focused and present during the day. We also can feel better by grounding ourselves when we do something that doesn’t involve running around. Relaxing and enjoying the feelings of contentment and satisfaction with our life…. what a pleasure that is,  and it is there when we are grounded.

Why not, this year, place yourself “first” on your to do list? There is nothing wrong with that idea. Instead, by doing so, you are becoming more present in your life. Happier and whole should be a goal for everyone to archive.

Letting your spirit guide you along the way, learning to not feel guilty when you take time for yourself.  Stop listening to your ego but instead be centered and positive. You will realize when you are taking care of you, you have more energy to focus on your loved ones.

What is your plan to start your “me” time? Are you going to step up to the plate and do it? You can start by doing something maybe once a week and then when you are ready you can increase your activities to twice a week until you are ready to do it once a day.

It is a great way to recharge your energy and everyone else around you will benefit from it as well.
