Learning to love

Opening our heart to give and receive love is something we must experience. When love is not at the “rendez vous” because we are growing up in world of chaos, we have no idea what the concept of love is.

We can emulate the life we have seen around us, or we can start to look back and see that it is not what we want to become.  It can take us a lifetime to archive and even understand we are all love. When we are desperate to feel love we can seek it in the wrong places.

We can learn the hard way as we move along our path. We need to go into ourselves to seek our spirit, let it open and guide us.

When we have not been taught love, we need to learn it, it can be easy for some and difficult for others. One thing that will help to achieve a state of love, of peace, of wholeness is to heal our wounds. Letting go of our past to create our present and future. If we do not learn to heal, we cannot truly learn how to love.

One other thing I found extremely helpful and this has been used in therapy for many years.  It is working with animals. When you are working with them you learn they only give us unconditional love. They can ease our pain and sorrow. I have adopted animals and learned pure unconditional love from them. Forming that invisible bond with them that helped me heal my wounds.

Instead of seeking love in the wrong places I have learned to open my heart to them and understanding through them what unconditional love really is.

We do not have to repeat our parent’s life or mistakes, we are the master of own destiny. We can change and create a new life for ourselves. Why not do it today?

We are all love and should be loved and valued for who we truly are.

  1. Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I’m very glad to see such wonderful info being shared freely out there.
