How to continue to reconnect with each other

LifeAs the rain is falling, I can feel the need to stretch enjoying a moment of quietness.

It brought me back in time, when life was simpler. We did not have to deal with all types of social media. Feeling we are being robbed of our lives. Instead of focusing on our families and mates, we are running non-stop, only to crash on the couch at night.

Going back to basics where we can take our time to live our lives without being pushed or rushed. But instead communicating with each other verbally. Living the madness of this world outside of our homes.

Just learning to be at peace and be whole again. Life has so much to offer when we are not rushing but instead realizing what our priorities are.

Make a conscious choice to spend more time with our family to stay connected. Enjoy a board game or a night where you do not turn on our TV’s and computers. Just having a little dance party or a great cook out where everyone can actually participate.

It is not easy to unplug, but when you learn to do that you can see the benefits of going back to basics.

Listening to the rain hitting the ground reminds me of my childhood. We lived on an old farm, we could not hear many cars passing by. It was extremely quiet, not much to do, instead I used my imagination. Dreaming big and bold, inventing a world full of adventure. Always ready to conquer the world, seeing myself as the hero of my story.

We did not have to worry about anything, only getting ready to go to school. Our sheltered life did not expose us to the madness of the village we lived in. Instead we were a world apart, living in a bubble.

Once in a while it is nice to step back into the quietness, listening to the world waking up. Letting my spirit rest for a moment before I continue my journey.

  1. I seriously love your blog.. Pleasant colors & theme.
Did you create this site yourself? Please reply back as I’m hoping to create
my own personal site and would like to find out where you got this from or what the theme is named.

    Thanks!
