How to stay focus in this ever changing world

challengesHow can I stay focused when the world is spinning around me?

This is a great question, being able to control your surrounding is a daunting task that some individuals are doing every day. We, in general, cannot control everything and everyone around us.

We can only control OUR actions. Instead of spending time trying to control our surroundings. We need to step back and focus on how we react to it.

For example, you are working on a project with other individuals. As much as you can you are trying to keep your tasks and others a float. But if one of the individual’s is behind what do you do? Are you going to chase after him/her, until you get what you need? Or because you have noticed that individual is never on time to accomplish his/her task, instead of being frustrated, you are changing your approach.

You are moving that individual’s deadline up, by applying this simple change you are now on track to complete your project. We all work at different speeds, you can notice as well what style individuals use. If their office looks neat, you have a sense they are disciplined and organized, while some others you can barely step in their office before a pile of paper is ready to fall on the ground. They are disorganized, lost, you want to run out of their office because you are afraid you could get lost as well.

We can only control our space and the way we are acting. When situations arise, we, in most instances, can only react to them.  We need to be able to step back and see how we can handle it.

Because I am a six sensory, I have an advantage that has been useful for me while working in corporate. Being able to anticipate my surroundings has proven to be the key to my success.

Everyone should be able to do the same
