I am not a huge fan of storms especially the ones that have devasting winds. We just had several last night, it is good in one way, because it cleanses the air and shifts the energies around.
The windows are now open, to my delight I can smell lilacs. I did not realize I had a lilac bush near the windows. It is white, but it is smelling so good right now. I have a smile on my face.
That fragrance always transports me back to my childhood years. It was one of my joys as a child to smell the neighbor’s lilac bushes.
The winds are blowing but the rain has stopped. It is a great time to open the windows to let the fresh air in to cool off the house.
It is another peaceful moment for me. It reminds me, after we are done rushing to finish projects we can find some time for a reprieved before we get another project going.
We need to learn to appreciate those time of peacefulness. Even at work if you are feeling you are having some downtime, you need to learn to slow down for a bit before you go back on the “battle field”. It is always wise to rest, even for 10 minutes. This will make all the difference in your attitude to take on your next task.
Sometimes when we are feeling setbacks we need to learn our lesson from it. But our setbacks should not be viewed as failures but opportunities in disguise. We should not carry them on our shoulders but acknowledge them and let them go.
Many innovators have failed on their first trial, most of them did not gave up because their passion was the engine that helped them to move passed those failures. We need to do the same in our lives. We need to be able to regroup and move forward while we are learning our lessons. Take the time to cool off after a storm whatever it may be.
