I would like to go back to basics in this essay. This is regarding doing a good deed for someone you know or even a stranger. Most often egos expect, when doing a good deed or helping someone, that we will get repayment from that individual in some form or another.
I have heard too many times, people complaining because cousin Bob didn’t do anything to help Paul. Paul has spent a lot of time helping to build a deck or fix Bob’s computer etc.
Doing a good deed under the expectation of having something coming back from that person is not considered a good deed, in the Universe world. When you are doing a good deed, you are doing it selflessly. When you are adding an expectation to get something back, this action will negate that intention.
The universe recognizes if you are doing it from an open-heart perspective. If you are doing an action from your open heart and feel grateful for doing it, the Universe will, through the means of someone else, soon help you with something.
Counting how many times you have helped your cousin Bob is sending negative vibes around you. You are not going to receive any help from the Universe.
Food for the thoughts:
Someone gave me a thank you card from a grocery store. I had to scratch that card to see what my reward would be. I was expecting it to be a pop or a candy bar. I almost discarded that card, but my spirit told me to see what I won. To my surprise it was a rotisserie chicken, I was smiling thinking Miss Pépettes is probably going to eat most of it, after I eat the skin. Because the skin is the best part of the chicken in my book. (Yes, I know, it is the fatty part of it but guess what it is so good). While I was thinking about it a few days passed and I hadn’t picked up a chicken. Later, one night I was at the grocery store, I saw five teenagers that were roaming the aisles. It looked like they were part of a basketball team. They were extremely well-mannered and behaved in such a great way, it was refreshing to see that. The coach or chaperon that was with them approached me he was looking for something in the deli area. It was almost 11:30 PM not much was left of the sandwiches. My six sensory told me they were not from around my area but were staying in a hotel nearby for some tournament. I had the card on me, while we were speaking, the Universe was poking at me to get my attention. I got the message to give him the card, so he could get the chicken for him and his team. They needed the protein more than Miss Pépettes. As we continued to look for the few sandwiches left, I looked to see if they had cold rotisserie chicken, they had three left. I choose the biggest one and gave it to the gentlemen with my card. I told him to just go to the register this will cover the cost. He was surprised by my action but kindly accepted, he took one of the sandwiches with him. I was smiling knowing the kids he was chaperoning would enjoy it even though each one of them had money to buy food, they needed some good protein as well. I left smiling while thinking “sorry Pépettes no chicken for you”. The Universe responded to my action with kindness later on, but again I was grateful to get that card, so it could be given to someone who needed more than me.
My modo has always been if it’s not coming from your heart do not do it. When you are helping someone, the Universe will help you or give you something you were not expecting as a gesture as well. Counting scores only brings resentments, people do not owe you anything unless you charge a fee before you are helping them. Remember, someone will help you in the future, when you going to need it the most without asking you for anything in return.
