We need to take the time to take care of ourselves. I have been speaking with a client of mine who is currently working two jobs and has a beautiful family. But she is always on the run, burning the candle at both ends.
We are trying to do so much that at the end of the day we are not going to be able to help ourselves when our bodies are starting to exhibit signs of exhaustion and we need to rest.
What we are doing to our bodies when we are young will have consequences when we are getting older. We should not continue to push our bodies at a higher level without making sure we can slow down to ground ourselves.
We all need to take the time to rest. Regarding the deadlines you have, they will still be there the next day. You can try when you are “hitting the wall at full speed” to meet your deadline but it will be extremely difficult to do. Being overly tired is going to make you have a lot of mistakes.
If you take the time, even a day to rest, you can come back and meet your deadline successfully with little mistakes.
If you can work from home for one day, you can get more accomplished in a serene environment. I worked from home, I would be on my computer at the wee hours of the morning. By the time I was done, I had accomplished more than expected. I had no distractions around me. Working from my home, feeling the love and positivity always made it easier.
When you are on the brink of exhaustion, you need to learn to stop! Pushing yourself is not going to help you in the long run. Our bodies are not meant to be working 24/7, we need to take the time to recharge our batteries.
