Yes, you read it correctly, we all are alchemist.
I always thought, based on the definition I read in the past, an alchemist is transforming any metal into gold or finding the cure for immortality. Even if the definition is correct in the dictionary, something we are forgetting is that we are all alchemists in our own way.
To explore this essay today we can step back for a moment, taking inventory of our lives.
What have we made appear, in front of us, out of thin air?
Even as insignificant so it may seem, you have made something materialized.
You always wanted to have a new car using your vision board you got a picture of a car. You are using your imagination to see yourself sitting in the driver’s seat. You are feeling how nice it is to drive the car. By doing so, you are sending a message to the Universe to get that new car. By perfect synchronicity the Universe brings you the car. You are thankful.
I am going to share with you two true stories:
In January of last year I did my vision board I wrote on the piece of paper what I wanted the “Little One” to experience. She was driving an old beat up car that had a hole on the driver’s side of the floor. That car was 20 years old, and it had seen some better days. I need to remind everyone we are actually living an ocean apart. She wasn’t aware of the list I made. In February I started to speak every morning while going to work to the Angels Runners. I will explain further down who they are. I just asked them to find a new car for her, that will be reliable and safe, but also, I will not pay for it neither will my sister. I did that for about a month always on my way to work. I thanked them for their help. The following month my sister and I were Skyping when she told me out of the blue my mother called her letting her know she wanted to buy her a new car. She had set the price she would pay for it. To make the story short, she got a brand-new car that was delivered for her birthday. I do recall how emotional the little one was when she recounted the conversation she had with my mother. I did smile and told her at that point what I was up to. I thanked the Universe for that car which my sister so well needed.
My house, I didn’t use a vision board for that, but instead used my imagination. It was early 2001, I had a co-worker that started to look for a home. She was going to be married and wanted to settle down with her husband into a new place of their own. As she was looking for houses, she mentioned to me wouldn’t it be nice to get my own place as well? I got inspired, and said why not? As I was going through the process, I started to imagine my house, I gave my list to the Universe. High windows going from the floor to the ceiling, high ceilings, at least 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, peaceful, greens and trees. I needed a quiet area as well. I made a movie in my head. I got the right realtor, we started to visit a couple of places. I didn’t like the area at all. As we were speaking in the car, she told me on my third visit, about a house, she was ready to put on the market. She asks me if I would be interested in driving by it. I said yes, why not? When I saw the area I absolutely loved it. I asked her when we could see the place. The following week we went. As I walked inside I knew right away when I sat down on a chair, this was my house. Without saying anything too obvious I made an offer and got the house. I thanked the Universe for it. While I did the list for the Universe in my head, I had no idea how my place would actually look. I gave the details that I felt were important for me. My co-worker, who started her search for her house, visited more than 40 houses over a period of 5 months to finally settle on one they liked. I only visited 3 houses, my realtor never like to have her potential buyers to visits houses she was selling. But in my case, she made an exception because she felt it would be the right house for me. Since then, we became good friend, she is the most authentic person I know.
