We all need to let loose once in a while, why not today?
Why not plan on taking some time for yourself to have fun?
Laughing, enjoying a moment to be silly.
Being silly is a great way to release stress.
We spend too much time being focused and serious, we are forgetting to let our inner child be.
Spending our time on meetings, deadlines, answering to a boss that is demanding more every day, can burn us out. We are keeping our adrenaline high because of the stress.
Our bodies need to rest, the adrenaline level should go down. But most of us do not know how to turn it down.
If we do not let our adrenaline down it affects our internal organs and hormones. By having fun and letting ourselves relax and relieve stress, we are doing a favor to our mind, body and spirit.
When should I do this? Every time you have an opportunity. If you are overwhelmed with your life take the time to do something fun at least 3 time a week.
If weather permits take the kids for a fun day at the park. Learn a new skill like paddle board, something you can do outside without bringing the competitive side of you out. If you cannot help yourself with your competitiveness, instead of betting who will win first, change it to the first one to do a choir of some sort for a week and one for the second, third and last place. Make it fun so everyone can enjoy it.
Watching funny movies. I like to watch, once in a while, the Goonies. It always makes me laugh, it also brings me back when I was a teen. Just a good time to walk back down memory lane to enjoy a moment of peace.
Board games are fun when you are not using the competitive side of you but more the spirits side, having prizes for the first place to the last place.
I love to go bowling, some bowling places are playing music. While having fun playing we cheer if your ball goes into the gutter or if you make a strike. Singing and dancing, just being silly for a few hours while focusing on the present moment.
Those are the best moments when you can let yourself become relaxed, forgetting all about your stresses, just letting your inner child be.
