In today’s essay, I am looking at this topic. As a young child, when my sisters and I were doing mischief we always thoughts we could get away with it.
We thought we always removed all the evidences that would incriminate us. But somehow it never played out that way. My mother, with her eagle eye, would find something we forgot. From the ant colonies in her bedroom to the cups on the other side of the fence.
As we grew up we thought we could be cleverer than my mother, but again she had her sixth sense up and running and adding in her lie detector sense we would get caught every time.
She was unbeatable, she would sense everything and could call us right on the spot. She had such a strong psychic sense we had no chance to beat her at all.
It is not a fault to try as hard as we could, but she was untouchable. We couldn’t even, for a minute, get away with the perfect crime. God knows we tried but we epically failed each time.
It seems like the Universe wasn’t on our side but on my mother’s side. Even though we got punished severely it was good life lesson for me, at least. Trying to outsmart her was impossible since she is a psychic and she always knew what we were up to or figured it out very quickly afterwards.
Now the question I have for you. As a kid did you get away with the perfect crime? If so, what was it?
If you are now a parent how about your children, do you think they got away with some mischief they have done?
Have you ever had a moment in your life when you sat down with your parents and talk about what you got away with? If so what was it?
