How to stay compassionate in our lives

HeartWe are consistently bombarded with our own thoughts and feedback from others, we can get lost along the way. Our thoughts are the harshest critic we are hearing in our head. It could be detrimental to our own self-esteem. We need to be compassionate towards ourselves.

We need to find a way become gentle with ourselves. How can we be compassionate towards others if we do not applied compassion to us first?

We cannot give unconditional love, kindness and compassion if we are not practicing those virtue on ourselves. We cannot fully expect to give anything to anyone nor sending positive thoughts to our love ones, if we do not start with ourselves first.

How can we do this?

We need to take the time to take care of ourselves, I understand with everything going on in our lives, it can be a challenging to place ourselves first.
But you would be surprised what a couple of minutes can do to help you each day. Practicing the breath of life doesn’t requires to spend more than a couple of minutes a day.

It is easy to do it, have your index and thumb fingertips touching. The three other fingers should be touching each other’s. Breath through your nose visualizing a white light coming from your heart extending in front of you, behind you, left and right side, above you and underneath you. Like you are in a bubble. As you exhale open your mouth and say the world “ha”, imagine a white light about ten inches surrounding you. You are bathed in this beautiful light.

Inhale three more times while visualizing this beautiful white light. You should feel calm and grounded. By doing this exercise you have calmed your mind, also you have created a shield to block other energies from entering your field.

Each time you feel anxious, overwhelmed or your inner voice is negative, stop these emotions by doing this simple exercise. You can do this everywhere. By doing it every day you are going to experience calmness, kindness and compassion towards yourself.

You are going to be able to view clearly any situation without any obstructions. If someone is stressing you out prior to speaking with that individual do this exercise. You can change the energy in the room as well as the other individual demeanor.
