Yes, we are now a couple of weeks from Christmas, so how did you do this year?
Have you been naughty to the point that Santa will not stop by your house to deliver your presents?
Or have you been such a nice person that you are expecting a plethora of presents under your tree?
Are you planning to treat yourself this year? What kind of present are you going to spoiled yourself with? Is it a trip to a warm place, or a new electronic toy?
Did you got it gift wrapped or are you so excited that you are not going to wait until Christmas to start using it?
What kind of present do you expect to receive?
Do you think you are going to get what you asked for?
How long is your list, is it a single wish or “a grocery’s list”?
Did you ever received something that absolutely made you frown or even shake your head?’ I am going to share a story that made me shake my head for a while.
One Christmas my older sister sent me a gift I wasn’t’ expecting from her. It was part of my Christmas package I received from Europe with wonderful chocolates to go with it. She, for some unknown reason, decided to buy me a pullover, the intention was nice, but the color was an old pink/purple and to top it all, the design had some flowers on it. The worst was the fabric, it wasn’t soft, but itchy. If you read my blog “What makes us who we are part 2” I detailed the fact that my mother knitted sweaters for us but the yarn she was using was so coarse, it itched like sand paper. To this day, I will not wear anything that is not soft to the skin. I went to the bathroom with the pullover in hand, and proceeded to lift it up near my face. The color was so bad it looked like I was sick. I went back to the living room put my head in my hands thinking what is wrong with her. I called the “little one” (my other sister) and told her the story, she was laughing so hard. I need to mention my older sister doesn’t have the best “eye” when it comes to picking out clothes. I told my sister it looked like my grandmother’s pullover…. I think I could have entered it in the ugly sweater contest and won that year. I didn’t keep this one I gave it to charity so someone with a better “eye”, could wear it.
What kind of present did you got that made you jump up and down for a while?
Were you expecting it?
Also, have you ever registered for a present?
If so what was it?
I hope for all of you, you have been nice, so Santa will make a stop at your house.
